What do you love most about living in Asheville?
I love being surrounded by the beautiful mountains and living close to all of my family.
Tell us about your family.
I am the middle child of three, with both of my siblings living in the Asheville area as well. I have been blessed to grow up around my extended family who have been in the area all my life. I have three beautiful nieces, one that attends APCS, one who just started high school and one working a full time job..
How did you first get connected with APCS?
I attended APCS myself, from Pre-K through 8th grade. After graduating with my BSW from Southern Adventist University, I was looking for a part time job and Mrs. Miller talked to me about doing after school care and helping with Pre-K and Kindergarten. I loved it! Now I am the full-time Pre-K teacher!
What preparation did you have for your role at APCS?
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, along with over 10 years of babysitting and experience working with kids.
What are your hobbies?
I love singing at church, driving on the parkway with the windows down, listening to music, shopping, and spending time with friends.
